Walkera HM V450D01 V2 6CH RC Helicopter
Great discussions are par for the course here. Each day, we highlight a discussion that is particularly helpful or insightful, along with other great discussions and reader questions you may have missed. The name of the product is Walkera HM V450D01 V2 6CH RC Helicopter. Are you curious about the style? That’s so cool, isn’t it?
The big brother in Walkera flybarless family -
Walkera HM V450D01 V2, Upgraded from 3-Axis Gyro to 6-Axis Gyro, and came with a new Swashplate. We were stunt by the stability and the performance of this super bird! In Walkera's flybarless series, this V450D01 V2 is the big brother of the family, with the size and the help of the 6-Axis Gyro and all new Full Metal Gear Servos (WK-09-9), it performed "extremely stable" in mid air, and the ascending and descending is so very fast, because of the lack of "Flybar", it responded like nothing before! And the energy consumption is good, like you get 2-3 minutes more than ordinary helicopter with flybar. With this latest bird, Walkera can call themselves "RC Helicopter Company" instead of "Toy company", because this bird can really get a nice share in the traditional 450 helicopter market, V450D01 V2 is a very well developed product!
This big helicopter is flybarless, it has a 6-Axis Gyro which very few manufacture have this technology, and Walkera is one of the biggest manufacture to go mass production of 6-Axis Gyros. What's more, it has all the good stuff pre-installed, like the Powerful Brushless Motor, 40A ESC, Full Metal Gear Servos (WK-09-9) and Carbon Fiber Main Frames and Main Rotor Blades. Sounds great, right?
What is a Flybar?
The flybar is a short, thin metal rod placed on top of the walkera rc helicopter. It is part of the rotor head’s structure, usually attached with a paddle on both ends. The flybar is a stabilizer. The heavier the paddle and longer the flybar, the more stable the heli. However, you can compensate by using the high-tech 3-Axis Gyro (the V450D01 V2 is better, it has 6-Axis Gyro!). The onboard 3D Gyro makes the heli fly so well that it performs just like an ordinary rotor head helicopter.
